Private Yoga New Jersey was founded by Sarah Pearson in 2019. After recognizing the need for quality in-home yoga lessons, Sarah shifted her concentration from teaching at gyms and studios and began focusing on private lessons with individuals in their homes.

By bringing yoga to you, we provide customized private lessons weekly at a time that fits your schedule and lifestyle. Your personalized yoga lessons will take place in the comfort of your home or office.
Private Yoga New Jersey has served busy professionals such as CEOs, therapists, doctors, lawyers, and stay at home parents. Our mission is to provide accessibility and cultivate a space that will support you in creating balance, flexibility, and tranquility both on and off your yoga mat.
Sarah Pearson: Personal Yoga Teacher
Sarah’s journey to yoga started at the age of 20. Initially, Sarah’s yoga practice wavered as she struggled with anxiety and substance abuse throughout college.
After deciding to start a family in 2015, Sarah knew her journey to healing and prioritizing self-care would allow her to show up healthier as a wife and mother. Through consistency and compassion, Yoga evolved into a life altering experience. Sarah was able to heal her addiction to stress and discover a more peaceful, well-balanced life.
Sarah’s classes are breath centered, with an emphasis in mindfulness. She provides a space where individuals can drop into their own experience and embody a sense of self-realization through sessions infused with mobility and strength practices. Sarah believes that “YOU” are your own best teacher and through guidance and facilitation, you can cultivate a connection between mind and body.
Yoga is not a one size-fits all practice. With that in mind, Sarah offers options to modify or challenge poses, allowing space for individual exploration. Her classes accommodate a wide range of abilities and there is truly something for everyone.
Her training includes:
Bachelor of Science in Biology, Montclair State University
Minor in Human Anatomy, Essex County College
200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, Powerflow Yoga with Stacey Bell and Carrie Parker
Somatic Attachment Therapy with The Embody Lab
